The Post Grid Plugin That Doesn’t Need a Weekend

Most post grid plugins want you to learn a page builder first. You install a 3MB slider suite, watch a tutorial, design each slide by hand, and a week later you have one carousel and a subscription renewal date.

Post Sliders & Post Grids Pro takes the posts you already have and lays them out. Pick your categories, choose a layout from a dropdown, drop it on the page. That is the whole process. Our customers keep telling us the same thing:

“I tried Smart Slider 3, and many others. Really too complex. I just needed a slider to slide ANY type of post. Just a thumbnail, a description, a link, an animation. That’s it. Simple, effective, cheap.

🎨 Five Layouts, One Setting to Switch

  • Default — clean, even tiles with matched heights
  • List — one post per row, image beside the text
  • Masonry — cards flow to their natural height, no gaps NEW
  • Overlay — title and excerpt sit on the featured image NEW
  • Magazine — first post runs full width as a hero, the rest tile beneath NEW
  • Independent column counts for desktop, laptop, tablet and phone — set four numbers and it behaves everywhere

🔍 Filter Tabs That Never Come Up Empty

  • Category buttons above any grid — click one, the grid re-renders in place NEW
  • Filter by categories, tags, or any custom taxonomy NEW
  • Buttons or dropdown style; allow multiple selections at once NEW
  • Show a post count beside each term NEW
  • Start the grid pre-filtered on a term of your choice NEW
  • Tabs are built from the terms each grid is allowed to show — a visitor can never land on an empty result
  • Works alongside AJAX pagination; filtering resets paging automatically

🔗 Related Posts, Without Another Plugin

  • Show posts sharing categories, tags, or any custom taxonomy with the article being read NEW
  • Match on several taxonomies at once, with AND or OR matching NEW
  • Sort by relevance — posts sharing three tags beat posts sharing one NEW
  • Insert automatically below every post, no template editing NEW
  • Display as a grid or a slider; the current post is excluded automatically

📊 Click Stats — Find Out What Actually Works

  • Clicks, views and click-through rate for the last 30 days, per grid NEW
  • A sparkline on the grids screen so you see the trend at a glance NEW
  • Most-clicked-posts breakdown — learn which headlines earn attention NEW
  • No visitor data is stored. No IP address, no user ID, no cookie, no session — only a per-grid, per-day counter NEW
  • Nothing to disclose in a privacy policy, no consent banner needed, no table quietly growing in your database

🎠 Sliders Too

  • Horizontal and vertical post carousels
  • Continuous ticker mode, in both directions
  • 16 easing effects · touch enabled · autoplay with pause on hover
  • Captions, pagers, custom thumbnail sizes, and a custom link per post

🛠️ Built for Real Sites

  • Unlimited grids and sliders, each configured independently
  • Full Gutenberg block — every setting in the sidebar, never leave the editor
  • Shortcodes for the Classic editor, or do_shortcode() in a template
  • Any registered post type, including WooCommerce products
  • Colour pickers for headings, meta, content and Read More
  • Choose what each card shows: excerpt, date, author, comment count, Read More — and set the excerpt length
  • AJAX pagination so long grids do not mean long pages
  • Preview a grid or slider before adding it to a page
  • WordPress multisite compatible · capabilities support · translation ready · no advertisements

Who Is This For?

  • 📝 Bloggers — a grid on your blog page, filter tabs so readers narrow it down, related posts under every article
  • 📰 News & magazine sites — the Magazine layout gives your lead story a hero slot and tiles the rest beneath it
  • 📚 Review & niche sites — filter by category, and use the stats to learn which reviews people actually click
  • 🛒 WooCommerce stores — works with products, not just posts
  • 🏢 Agencies & freelancers — unlimited grids per site, Gutenberg support for any client build, 5 and 10 site licences available

Up and Running in Minutes

  1. Install & activate — upload the zip, click Activate, tables created automatically
  2. Build a grid — Post Sliders & Grids → pick your categories, columns and colours
  3. Pick a layout — choose Default, List, Masonry, Overlay or Magazine from one setting
  4. Add it to a page — paste the shortcode, or drop in the Gutenberg block and pick your grid

FAQ

How is this different from Smart Slider or Slider Revolution?

Those are builders for slides — you design each slide by hand. This one takes the posts you already have and lays them out automatically. If you want to hand-craft a hero banner with animated layers, use Smart Slider. If you want your latest posts in a grid or a carousel in about a minute, use this. Customers who switched keep telling us the same thing: the big ones do too much.

Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?

One-time payment. You own the version you buy and receive updates — there is no recurring subscription, no renewal date, and no feature that stops working when you stop paying.

What is the difference between the free and Pro versions?

The free plugin gives you one grid and one slider, both fully working — Default and List layouts, category filter tabs, and related posts by category. It is not a trial and it is not time limited.

Pro adds unlimited grids and sliders, the Masonry, Overlay and Magazine layouts, filter tabs on any taxonomy with dropdown and multi-select styles, related posts matched on tags or custom taxonomies and sorted by relevance with automatic insertion, click stats, AJAX pagination, vertical and ticker sliders, and social sharing buttons.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes — install the free version from WordPress.org to test the core experience, and view the live demo to see the Pro layouts in action. There is also a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Can I have more than one grid on my site?

Yes. Pro supports unlimited grids and sliders, each configured independently with its own categories, columns, colours and layout. The free version saves one configuration, which you can place more than once.

Will it work with my theme?

Yes. The grid and slider inherit your theme’s fonts, and you set your own colours for headings, meta text, content and the Read More link. It is in use on everything from book review blogs to news sites. If you hit a theme-specific issue, support can help.

Does it work with the block editor, or do I have to use shortcodes?

Both. There is a full Gutenberg block where every setting lives in the sidebar — you never have to leave the editor. Shortcodes work too, for the Classic editor or a theme template file via do_shortcode().

Does it work with custom post types and WooCommerce products?

Yes, any registered public post type. Choose it under “Post types to include or exclude”.

My masonry grid looks like a normal grid. Why?

Masonry only staggers when your images have different heights. Two things to check: switch image cropping off, and use featured images with varying aspect ratios — a few portrait images among the landscape ones. If every image is the same shape, every card is the same height, and masonry looks identical to the default grid.

You also need enough posts for the columns to fill: aim for at least three posts per column.

How do the filter tabs work? Do they reload the page?

No reload. Click a tab and the grid re-renders in place. You can filter by categories, tags, or any custom taxonomy, and choose buttons or a dropdown.

The tabs are built from the terms each grid is already allowed to show, so a visitor can never click a tab and land on an empty grid. Filtering also works alongside AJAX pagination, and resets to page one when the filter changes.
